Made By Mama uses the information you share with us to run the shop, fulfil orders and look after customers. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect your name, email, phone number, optional date of birth, optional saved address, pickup or delivery details, order history, loyalty balances and point activity, contact-form messages and account details. For e-gift cards, we also collect the recipient’s name and email, the sender’s name and optional personal message so we can deliver the gift. We keep limited technical security records, such as protected versions of IP and email identifiers used for rate limiting. Payment providers process payment details; we do not store complete card or bank-login credentials.

Why we use it

We use personal information to create and verify accounts, process and fulfil orders, manage loyalty rewards, deliver e-gift cards, arrange pickup or delivery, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse, keep business records and meet legal obligations. We only ask for information reasonably connected to those purposes.

Baking reviews

Reviews are submitted through a signed-in account and are private until an administrator selects them for publication. We store the display name you choose, rating, review, optional bake name and your permission to publish. Selected reviews may appear on our homepage; your account email is never included. You can contact Mama if you would like a published review taken down.

Promotional emails

Marketing is optional and separate from shopping, account creation and loyalty rewards. Public signups require an unticked consent box and an email confirmation. Signed-in customers with a verified email can explicitly subscribe from My Profile. We record opt-in requests, confirmation or withdrawal, source, date and policy version. Every promotion has an unsubscribe button. You can also switch promotions off from My Profile or enter your email on our public unsubscribe page, without a login, reason or confirmation email. We stop queued promotions immediately; an email already being sent may still arrive. Order, gift-card, verification and security messages remain separate. We retain the opt-out record to respect your choice. Returning requires a fresh opt-in.

Who helps us

We may share the minimum information needed with providers that support the service, such as Stripe for payments, an email delivery provider, hosting and delivery services. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy practices and may process data outside Australia. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without an appropriate basis or permission.

Spam protection

When enabled, we use Cloudflare Turnstile to check form submissions and reduce automated abuse. Your browser communicates with Cloudflare for this security check. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. Unsubscribing from promotions does not require this check.

Cookies and security

The site uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in, remember your cart and temporarily retain checkout codes. Gift-card codes are protected in storage and should be kept private by recipients because they work like cash. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can promise perfect security. Please use a unique password and keep verification links private.

Access, correction and complaints

You can update optional profile details from your account. You may also contact us to request access to or correction of personal information we hold, or to raise a privacy concern. Email orders@madebymama.com.au or use our contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time after confirming your identity.

Retention and changes

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, security, dispute handling and legal or accounting requirements. We may update this policy as the shop or law changes, and the updated date will appear at the top.
